The supplement in question is known as Uvesterol D, which is a liquid vitamin D supplement frequently given to children overseas who are suffering from a deficiency. The national medical safety agency of France, the ANSM, has previously issued several warnings about the supplement due to how it is administered, most notably when given to newborn babies.

On December 21, 2016, a baby passed away at just 10 days old, following the administration of Uvesterol D. Investigations revealed that there was a probable link between the supplement and the infant’s death.

In a December 30th email written by the ANSM, and seen by the AFP, the health organization notes that the baby died at home from “cardio-respiratory arrest” after receiving a dose of the liquid vitamin D supplement. In essence, the baby died from drowning on the water used as the carrier for vitamin D.

Uvesterol D is given to children via a pipette, and the ANSM has explicitly cautioned that this route of administration is not appropriate for babies. The agency suggests it should be given to infants by merely placing one drop at a time rather than giving them the whole dose at once. A smaller-sized dose has also been recommended, and the group suggests it be given before feeding to help ensure that infants are in a semi-upright position before being given the liquid. The ANSM issued warnings about the liquid being a choking hazard to infants in 2006 and again in 2013.

One might be inclined to ask who, if anyone, prescribed this supplement to the baby in spite of the very apparent risks. One might also be concerned about the parents’ potential lack of proper education on medication administration for newborns, or perhaps question why such information was not printed on a product that is primarily given to children.

It seems that the supplement manufacturer, a French company named Crinex, will be bearing the brunt of the blame, at least in France. The liquid form of Uvesterol D will be suspended from the marketplace for the time being.

Health Minister Marisol Touraine recently issued a statement on the matter.

“I want to reassure parents who have given vitamin D, in whatever form, to their children: they are safe,” she claimed. Touraine noted that it was “the specific way the product is administered that presents risks,” and added that Uvesterol D is the sole target of their concerns, at least for now.

Touraine also called on parents, “as a precautionary measure, to no longer administer Uvesterol D to their children,” before any kind of definitive decision from the ANSM has been announced.

Despite the ANSM and Touraine noting that other vitamin D products are safe, the nutrient has still been featured in wildly misleading headlines. Even the BBC is guilty of being inflammtory, with one recent headline proclaiming, “French baby death linked to vitamin dose.”

Really?

Further reading, even within that very article, reveals that the vitamin dose had nothing to do with the baby’s unfortunate passing; the baby choked and suffocated on the medication. This infant did not die of a vitamin D supplement overdose, though that is exactly what that title seems to imply.

Another headline, from the site Politico, boasts, “France moves to ban vitamin D brand after baby’s death.” A quick search reveals countless others: “French baby dies after taking product to treat vitamin D deficiency,” from AOL.com , and “Baby dies in France after being given vitamin D supplement,” from RFI.fr — to name just a few.

The onus always seems to be on the vitamin, rather than on the fact that this baby suffocated on a medication he or she probably never should have received at such a young age. Vitamin D did not harm this child — negligence from the medical community and pharmaceutical industry as a whole did. If this supplement was so risky to infants that multiple warnings needed to be issued, perhaps that should have been reflected on the label.

Natural homemade toothpaste heals cavities while whitening teeth /curesnews/2017-01-26-natural-homemade-toothpaste-heals-cavities-while-whitening-teeth.html /curesnews/2017-01-26-natural-homemade-toothpaste-heals-cavities-while-whitening-teeth.html#respond Wed, 30 Nov -0001 00:00:00 +0000 http://162.244.66.231/curesnews/2017-01-26-natural-homemade-toothpaste-heals-cavities-while-whitening-teeth.html There are over 500 different microorganisms in our mouths, says Saveyoursmile.com. One of the most prolific, known as streptococcus mutans, is the one that causes all that sticky plaque. In the last 7000 years, a wide variety of substances have been utilized to get rid of it. The Eqyptians created a tooth cream by “mixing powdered ashes of oxen hooves with myrrh, burnt egg shells, pumice, and water.” The Persians added gypsum and the shells of burnt oysters and snails. The well-to-do in 18th century England tried borax, but that was not kind to the enamel, or the oral mucosa –  the membrane in the mouth’s lining and one of the most absorbent tissues in the body.

Today, the American toothpaste marketplace is a $1.6 billion dollar business. Unfortunately, the ingredients in most commercial toothpastes, and even in some who claim to be “natural” may contain a bevy of toxic ingredients, reports CornucopiaFDA approved chemicals in toothpastes, even the “natural” ones can include paraben preservatives, sodium lauryl sulfate, artificial flavors, colors or sweeteners, carrageenan, and diazolidnyl urea. These compounds are endocrine disruptors, skin irritants, and suspected or known carcinogens. Why allow these in your mouth, when you can make your own great tasting toothpaste that can heal your cavities, help prevent gum disease and whiten your teeth without those nasty toxins? Here’s a recipe from Holisiticlivingtips.com:

Ingredients:

3 tablespoons of baking soda

3 tablespoons of extra virgin coconut oil

1 tablespoon of xylitol

1 tablespoon of neem powder

15 drops of mint essential oil

Make your paste:

It’s recommended that you use a glass jar when making your truly natural and effective toothpaste. And it’s as easy as simply mixing everything together! Keep in mind that using extra virgin coconut oil is very important, as it has been shown to have antimicrobial effects. Neem powder provides the benefits helping prevent gum disease and bad breath, says Stylecraze.com. It also helps reduce plaque and cavities due to its “antibacterial, antiseptic, antimicrobial, and anti-inflammatory properties.”

Although the xylitol can safely sweeten the taste of your toothpaste, it provides additional oral health benefits, according to Authoritynutrition.com. The plaque creating streptococcus mutans bacteria can literally be starved to death by xylitol. Saliva is increased by using xylitol and that additional saliva helps with teeth mineralization. Xylitol also helps prevent gum disease.

Baking soda is helpful especially if you have stains on your teeth, as it can help remove discoloration, according to Newhealthguide.org. It’s alkaline properties “release free radicals that attack teeth stains,” and “has a bleach-like action.”  Essential oils are for more than aroma. Peppermint essential oil can help reduce anaerobic bacteria, which, if they proliferate, can cause gum disease. Spearmint essential oil has antiseptic qualities and can sooth the oral mucosa. Follow more news on natural remedies at Remedies.news.

It’s recommended to use this toothpaste three times a day. Oral health is so important to your overall health and self esteem. If you’re making every effort to eat healthy foods without chemicals, GMOs or pesticides, wouldn’t you want to make the same effort for the teeth that are chewing it?

Check out the label on your current toothpaste and see what it says. You may be unpleasantly surprised. But now, you have the resources to change brands.

Autoimmune disease solutions revealed /curesnews/2017-01-26-autoimmune-disease-solutions-revealed.html /curesnews/2017-01-26-autoimmune-disease-solutions-revealed.html#respond Wed, 30 Nov -0001 00:00:00 +0000 http://162.244.66.231/curesnews/2017-01-26-autoimmune-disease-solutions-revealed.html As our food becomes increasingly processed and laden with pesticides and GMOs, the incidence of autoimmune disease is skyrocketing. At least 50 million Americans are currently living with some form of autoimmune disease – with some suffering from more than one. And, according to natural health experts like Dr. Peter Osborne, this is no coincidence.

Will Western medicine ever face reality? Dr. Osborne maintains that diet, and gluten intolerance in particular, is a “core cause” of over 90 different autoimmune diseases – which include such debilitating and life-threatening conditions as lupus, diabetes, hypothyroidism, multiple sclerosis, ulcerative colitis and rheumatoid arthritis. Conventionally-trained physicians constantly promote the notion that ‘there is no cure,’ and – to make matter worse – they prescribe immune-suppressing drugs that increase the risk of systemic infections.

Fact: We CAN eliminate the threat of autoimmune disorders safely and naturally. On the next NaturalNews Talk Hour, Jonathan Landsman and Dr. Peter Osborne, a board-certified nutritionist and renowned expert on gluten intolerance, explore the link between diet and autoimmune disease – and offer natural solutions that work. If you (or someone you love) is concerned about the true nature of disease and real solutions – don’t miss this lifesaving show!

Gluten damages the intestinal tract and promotes autoimmune disease

It’s important to understand that gluten is a general term for a group of proteins found in grains, particularly in wheat, rye and barley – but in many other food and non-food sources. The use of GMOs in food has caused gluten content to double over the past few decades, asserts Dr. Osborne. Tragically, as much as 40 percent of the population now reacts poorly to gluten – reflecting the inability of human DNA to adjust to the massive changes in food quality and content.

Gluten also increases a protein called zonulin, which is produced in the small intestine. Zonulin breaks down the proteins in the gut that are responsible for keeping the gut lining intact, thereby creating gaps through which undigested food and proteins enter the bloodstream – also causing an immune reaction.

This condition – known as “leaky gut” – or increased intestinal hyperpermeability is accompanied by an array of related symptoms, including inflammation, immune over-stimulation and poor absorption of nutrients.

Don’t be left in the dark about how to cure disease or become a statistic of the sick care system. Be sure to tune into the next NaturalNews Talk Hour for the help you want.

Go grain-free, not “gluten”- free

Even when people with gluten intolerance attempt to eat a gluten-free diet, health problems can still persist. This is because many “gluten-free” products are made with corn and rice, which – like all grains – still contain gluten proteins, says Dr. Osborne.
And, by the way, they can trigger the same type of immune response as gluten intolerance.

Even seeds and beans, which contain gluten-like proteins called lectins, can cause problems such as gastrointestinal inflammation and leaky gut. Dr. Osborne points out that all grains and legumes are technically seeds, created for the sole purpose of incubating and protecting the embryonic plant, and making them unfit for consumption. “Seeds,” says Dr. Osborne, “wage war on the human gut.”

Join us, on the next NaturalNews Talk Hour, to discover more about the role of gluten in autoimmune disease – along with how to reduce inflammation, how to ease chronic pain naturally, how to avoid the “prescription pain trap” plus much more.

Use essential oils for bone aches and inflammation /curesnews/2017-01-24-use-essential-oils-for-bone-aches-and-inflammation.html /curesnews/2017-01-24-use-essential-oils-for-bone-aches-and-inflammation.html#respond Wed, 30 Nov -0001 00:00:00 +0000 http://162.244.66.231/curesnews/2017-01-24-use-essential-oils-for-bone-aches-and-inflammation.html One in five U.S. adults suffer from arthritis, a term used to describe inflammation of the joints. Arthritis, which can be caused by a variety of widely differing health conditions, is the number one cause of disability in the United States.

Because there is no cure for arthritis, the condition is typically treated with over-the-counter or prescription painkillers and anti-inflammatories (underlying health conditions, such as autoimmune disorders, may have their own treatments). But as with all pharmaceuticals, these drugs can carry side effects or even serious risks, particularly if used long term.

But, there is a natural alternative. If you suffer from stiff, inflamed or painful joints, try the following essential oil treatments, and see if they are able to offer you relief. (Also, stay informed about natural remedies at Remedies.news)

Which oils to use

Many essential oils have overlapping effects, so you can either choose the oil that you best like the smell of (or that is least expensive or easiest to find), or you can combine multiple oils to boost their effectiveness, or both.

Eucalyptus oil is a natural topical analgesic, which is why it is included as an ingredient in many medicated chest and muscle rubs. Part of its painkilling power may come from its effect of dilating blood vessels and increasing circulation — which also promotes the body’s natural healing processes.

Peppermint oil contains menthol, another common ingredient in medicated chest and muscle rubs. Menthol and other peppermint oil components are anti-inflammatories, thus helping bring down the pain and swelling associated with arthritis.

Rosemary oil combines many of the properties of eucalyptus and peppermint oils. It is an analgesic, anti-inflammatory and anti-spasmodic that also helps improve circulation.

Birch oil is also anti-inflammatory and anti-spasmodic. It also contains the painkillers methyl salicylate and salicylic acid, chemicals closely related to aspirin. Like most essential oils, birch is also a potent antiseptic.

The final oil on the list is not a painkiller or anti-inflammatory, and is better known for its effects on mood: lavender. But like eucalyptus and rosemary oil, lavender oil helps increase circulation, which leads to improved healing and reduced pain. Lavender’s ability to promote calm, relaxation and sleep also help mobilize your body’s natural healing abilities.

How to use essential oils for arthritis

With only a very few exceptions, essential oils should never be applied directly to the skin. Instead, they should be mixed with a “carrier oil” such as jojoba, sesame, olive or sweet almond. These can be food-grade oils from your grocery store, or cosmetics-grade oils purchased from a natural health or grocery store.

One of the best essential oil treatments for arthritis is a full-body bath soak. This consists of taking a few drops of essential oils, mixing them into a small amount of carrier oil, then pouring the entire mixture into a bathtub full of hot water. If you want, you can also add 2 to 3 cups of Epsom salts for added effectiveness.

If you want a more focused treatment on a particular part of your body, you can simply use your essential oil-carrier oil blend (about 10 drops essential oil per ounce of carrier oil) as a massage oil, and apply it directly to the troublesome spot. Or you can mix 4 drops of essential oil directly into a pint of either hot or icy water, to use for a hot or cold compress. Soak up the water-oil blend with a small towel, then apply the compress to the painful area for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the compress has reached body temperature.

Heat is recommended by most health professionals for maximum promotion of blood flow and the body’s natural healing processes. Cold, however, can provide more short-term relief by temporarily reducing pain and swelling. To get the benefits of both, you can alternate between hot and cold compresses.

Because essential oils are biologically active, it is possible for them to interact negatively with certain pharmaceutical drugs. If you are taking any arthritis medication, consult with a qualified health professional before mixing pharmaceutical and essential oil therapies.

Over 7,000 studies confirm turmeric’s health-protective effects /curesnews/2017-01-24-over-7000-studies-confirm-turmerics-health-protective-effects.html /curesnews/2017-01-24-over-7000-studies-confirm-turmerics-health-protective-effects.html#respond Wed, 30 Nov -0001 00:00:00 +0000 http://162.244.66.231/curesnews/2017-01-24-over-7000-studies-confirm-turmerics-health-protective-effects.html Turmeric is known for its rich, yellow color and its myriad of culinary uses.  The old-world spice has been coveted for centuries, with evidence indicating that it may have even been part of ancient Chinese medicine a thousand years ago.

Recently, however, this traditional culinary staple is gaining recognition for its amazing health benefits.  Some 7,000 studies have been conducted, and much of the research shows that turmeric is a powerful healing agent with a wide variety of applications. Antibacterial, antimutagenic, antifungal, anti-inflammatory and antiviral properties are just some of the things that make turmeric so special. It’s also loaded with micronutrients like vitamins C, E and K, and minerals such as calcium, zinc, iron and magnesium.

Research demonstrates the power of turmeric

Several studies have shown that turmeric even has the ability to help fight against certain types of cancer. For example, a 2015 review published by the journal Molecules states that curcumin — a key component of turmeric — can inhibit the initiation, progression and metastasis of a number of different kinds of tumors. The review authors also note that curcumin halts disease progression by inducing apoptosis, or cell death.  The team notes that at the time their review was completed, some 6,850 studies of turmeric had been published, noting that many of these were indicative of the spice’s potential health benefits.

In their conclusion, the authors write, “A plethora of in vitro and in vivo research together with clinical trials conducted over the past few decades substantiate the potential of curcumin as an anti-cancer agent.” The team notes that curcumin is limited by its bioavailability, but states that regardless of potential draw backs, curcumin is a “safe and promising molecule for the prevention and therapy of not only cancer but also other inflammation-driven diseases.”

Another recent study, also published in 2015, was indicative of curcumin’s anti-cancer effects. (Discover more news about natural cures at Cures.news.) The study was conducted by a team of researchers from Emory University’s Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology, and was published by the joural, PLOS One. The team sought to investigate how curcumin exacts its apoptosis-inducing effects in cancer cell lines of the upper aerodigestive tract, which refers to the lungs and bronchus, larynx, pharynx and oral cavity. After treating cancerous tissue samples with curcumin, the team examined the effects. From their findings, the team surmised that curcumin’s apoptosis-inducing effects were prompted by its ability to simultaneously turn on a tumor-suppressor gene and down-regulated anti-apoptotic proteins.

Essentially, this means that their data indicate curcumin turns on cancer suppression, and turns off the production of proteins that prevent cell death. Together, these effects result in cancer cell apoptosis.

Other health benefits

Fighting cancer, of course, is not the only benefit that turmeric can provide — though it surely is an impressive one. For example, a randomized double-blind, placebo controlled study found that turmeric supplements could help support a more balanced mood. The study, published in the Journal of Affective Disorders, found that just eight weeks of turmeric supplementation boosted participants’ scores on depression and anxiety tests. All of the participants in the turmeric group exhibited substantial improvement compared to the placebo group.

Studies have also indicated that turmeric can help to relieve physical discomfort, too. A 4-week study published in the Journal of Clinical Interventions in Aging found that turmeric worked as well as ibuprofen at relieving osteoarthritis pain — and that it worked even better than the pharmaceutical when it came to relieving joint stiffness. A previous study, published in 2011, also found that turmeric helped to relieve pain. The randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study published in Surgical Endoscopy found that turmeric supplements relieved post-operative discomfort in gallbladder surgery patients better than placebo. In 3-week intervals, patients taking the supplement reported significantly less pain and discomfort than the placebo patients.

Turmeric has many other health benefits. It has been used to promote wound healing, soothe tissue irritation, relieve stomach aches, and boost heart health. Turmeric is truly a miraculous substance that continues to astound researchers across the globe.

National Academy of Sciences: Marijuana can be used as a medicine /curesnews/2017-01-23-national-academy-of-sciences-marijuana-can-be-used-as-a-medicine.html /curesnews/2017-01-23-national-academy-of-sciences-marijuana-can-be-used-as-a-medicine.html#respond Wed, 30 Nov -0001 00:00:00 +0000 http://162.244.66.231/curesnews/2017-01-23-national-academy-of-sciences-marijuana-can-be-used-as-a-medicine.html In one of the least surprising announcements of the year, the National Academy of Sciences has declared that marijuana can be used as a medicine in order to improve one’s health naturally. Despite the fact that anyone who has done any significant amount of research on the subject could have told you the same thing, racking up data from numerous reputable sources is always a good thing, as it eventually reaches the point where nobody can deny the truth any longer. Even the staunchest critics of marijuana will have to accept defeat at some point — and that is when true liberty will be achieved.

Marijuana advocates all over the world rejoiced at the news, and for good reason, since it is yet another piece of scientific evidence that helps prove to naysayers that cannabis has considerable health benefits. NORML Deputy Director Paul Armentano stated, “The National Academy of Science’s conclusions that marijuana possesses established therapeutic utility for certain patients and that it possesses an acceptable safety profile when compared to those of other medications or recreational intoxicants are not surprising. This evidence has been available for some time, yet for decades marijuana policy in this country has largely been driven by rhetoric and emotion, not science and evidence.”

It continues to become more and more obvious that the only reason that cannabis hasn’t been legalized from coast to coast, all across the United States, is because the powers that be are benefiting heavily from the pharmaceutical drugs that are being peddled in its place. Should cannabis be legalized, Big Pharma will take a drastic hit, which is guaranteed to leave them scrambling. Considering the fact that President Donald Trump has already waged a culture war against the pharmaceutical industry, it should come as no great surprise that they don’t want their brand to be damaged any further.

The bottom line is that cannabis is a natural, healthy and effective alternative to chemical drugs that are created in a lab somewhere. Opioid addiction in America is through the roof, and few have the courage to address that fact because they are afraid of the wrath of those controlling the pharmaceutical industry. Thankfully, the truth is always on the side of justice and there is no way to keep the truth from coming out. Though the powers that be did their best to keep Americans in the dark on the health benefits of cannabis for as long as possible, that time is long gone. We are all waking up, and it’s only a matter of time before everyone knows that marijuana is actually considerably healthier than the drugs peddled at the pharmacy. (RELATED: Find more news about medical marijuana at MedicalMarijuanaUpdate.com)

This is going to be a year that welcomes many changes to the United States. With the inauguration of Donald Trump comes a lot of new ideas regarding freedom and liberty within our country. One of the issues that our politicians need to address immediately is the archaic manner in which the federal government views cannabis. If they are truly in the business of improving the lives of the American people, they need to stop banning a plant that is guaranteed to help many. Should they choose to continue living in the past, denying the truth and waging a war on reality, they will be preventing many from reaching their full potential.

Anti-aging ‘Holy Basil’ herb supports natural detoxification /curesnews/2017-01-21-anti-aging-holy-basil-herb-supports-natural-detoxification.html /curesnews/2017-01-21-anti-aging-holy-basil-herb-supports-natural-detoxification.html#respond Wed, 30 Nov -0001 00:00:00 +0000 http://162.244.66.231/curesnews/2017-01-21-anti-aging-holy-basil-herb-supports-natural-detoxification.html Holy basil, also known as tulsi, Ocimum sanctum or Ocimum tenuiflorum, is a sacred plant to many Hindus, and is used in a wide variety of religious contexts. It is also an important herb in Ayurveda, or traditional Indian medicine. Although the plant has been used in Ayurveda for centuries, Western herbalists and scientists are only just beginning to understand the powerful benefits of this anti-aging, detoxifying herb.

In Ayurveda, holy basil is used to support immunity, aid detoxification, modulate stress and slow aging. In Western herbalism, the plant is known as an “adaptogen,” or a plant that increases the body’s resistance to a wide variety of environmental stressors, rather than having only a few specific effects (such as lowering blood pressure, for example).

Adaptogens are so named because they adapt their function to the needs of the body, thus helping maintain balance. (Learn more about natural medicine for preventing disease at Prevention.news)

Soothing stress, slowing aging

According to Ayurveda, holy basil can be used to boost mood, stamina and endurance by filling the body with a calming energy. It can help speed up slowed digestion or free up suppressed emotions.

Studies suggest that some of holy basil’s benefits come from its ability to help the body regulate its levels of cortisol, which is sometimes called the “stress hormone.” Released during times of stress, cortisol activates many components of the sympathetic nervous system, also known as the “fight or flight” response. While this response is important in times of crisis, it is hard on the body over time, and cortisol has been linked to many of the negative health effects of chronic stress.

Holy basil’s effects on cortisol may partially explain its traditional use in Ayurveda to soothe emotional and digestive upset. Cortisol can also suppress the immune system, a condition holy basil is also used to treat.

The herb’s much-lauded anti-aging effects may come in part from its high antioxidant activity. Researchers believe that many of the effects of aging come from cell and DNA damage caused by chemicals known as free radicals; antioxidants help remove free radicals from the body.

Science beginning to explore effects

Holy basil’s antioxidant effects likely make it a powerful cancer preventive, as cancer is one of the many health conditions linked to free radical damage.

A 2007 study from the Journal of Medicinal Food further suggests that holy basil may also exhibit direct anticancer activity. In that study, cancer was induced in rats, who were then treated with varying doses of holy basil leaf extract. At concentrations of 300 mg per kg of body weight, the extract reduced cancer cell formation, oxidative damage to proteins and fats, and levels of enzymes responsible for producing further toxic effects in the body.

Another study, published in the Journal of Ethnopharmacology in 2008, found that holy basil might help reduce the effects of nerve degeneration (neuropathy), a common side effect of injury and many diseases, such as diabetes. Researchers severed sciatic nerves in the paws of rats, then treated them with holy basil extract for ten days. They found that over the course of the treatment, the nerve degeneration was reduced, and nerve sensitivity and motor control increased. Rats treated with holy basil extract also showed decreased oxidative stress and higher levels of calcium and glutathione. (RELATED: Learn about more natural remedies at Remedies.news)

Holy basil may also be good for the skin, perhaps due to potent antimicrobial activity. A study published in the International Journal of Cosmetic Science in 2006 compared the effects of holy basil, sweet basil (Ocimum basilicum, the type commonly used in Western cooking), and hoary basil (Ocimum americanum) on bacteria believed to be the cause of acne. The researchers found that both holy basil and sweet basil showed significant antimicrobial effects.

It can help to prevent and treat gastrointestinal symptoms such as indigestion, and it has also been shown to ward off weight issues like obesity. With the obesity rate climbing ever higher, having people take a few minutes to prepare this drink can certainly provide a solution to a growing problem.

Taking a look at the benefits of the three individual ingredients gives some clues as to what makes them so powerful when combined:

  • Garlic is high in allicin, which is anti-inflammatory and anti-aging. It offers a world of miraculous benefits, and when taken internally, it can be helpful for treating all sorts of infections.
  • Honey contains high levels of vitamins, minerals and enzymes, and it’s an excellent antiseptic.
  • Apple cider vinegar may provide the secret sauce in the garlic, honey and apple cider vinegar combination because of the sour-tasting liquid’s anti-obesity and indigestion-fighting properties.

You can imagine what a powerhouse you are creating when you combine the three items, in light of their individual properties and benefits even when used alone. (RELATED: Learn more news about the healing power of superfoods at Superfoods.news)

How to make this powerful mixture

Preparing for yourself a healthy drink of these three wonderful ingredients could not be easier or quicker. Simply measure out one cup of apple cider vinegar, one cup of honey and ten cloves of freshly minced garlic. Thoroughly combine the ingredients in a blender, and pour the mixture into a glass jar. Refrigerate that. Take two tablespoons of the mixture each day in the morning, before eating or drinking anything. The mixture keeps for five days, and after that it will not provide the same powerful benefits. If you would like to improve the flavor some, add a small amount of water or organic juice such as apple juice.

Tips for maximum effectiveness

To get the most healing power out of the garlic, honey and apple cider vinegar mixture, make sure you follow certain rules. First, preferably use only organic ingredients. Also, garlic should be as fresh as possible or even grown in your own garden. Avoid using garlic that feels spongy or has dried out. Honey needs to be raw and preferably local, and avoid at all costs the “fake” honey that has become more prevalent in recent years. It is a “mystery” concoction of additives masquerading as a healthy food. Use raw apple cider vinegar that contains particles, also known as the “mother,” that settle to the bottom of the bottle. Before pouring out some vinegar, shake the capped bottle vigorously to thoroughly mix the particles in with the liquid.

Additional benefits include reduced cholesterol and blood pressure, cancer treatment and diabetes improvement. What if one of the cures for those dreaded ailments is right in your kitchen? So cheers to your health, and enjoy the rewards that come from setting aside a few minutes daily to take care of yourself by drinking this remedy.

These incredible plants were used by Native Americans to cure illness /curesnews/2017-01-18-these-incredible-plants-were-used-by-native-americans-to-cure-illness.html /curesnews/2017-01-18-these-incredible-plants-were-used-by-native-americans-to-cure-illness.html#respond Wed, 30 Nov -0001 00:00:00 +0000 http://162.244.66.231/curesnews/2017-01-18-these-incredible-plants-were-used-by-native-americans-to-cure-illness.html Native American medicine is something that many people hold in high regard. Their traditional techniques and natural remedies are truly something to marvel at. Every Native American tribe has its own unique approach. The Cherokee, a tribe indigenous to the Southeastern United States, believed that the “Creator” gave them the gift of being able to understand and preserve medicinal herbs. A number of different herbs and plants can be used as medicine, as they once were.

Here are nine plants that the Cherokee tribe used to cure a variety of different symptoms:

1. Big Stretch (Wild Ginger)

Mild tea made from the wild ginger plant was believed to help stimulate the digestion process. The Cherokee believed it could also treat stomach problems, colic and even intestinal gas. Another Native American tribe, known as The Meskwaki, used pulverized wild ginger stems to treat ear infections.

2. Hummingbird Blossom (Buck Brush)

Hummingbird blossom was used to treat a wide variety of conditions. Traditionally, it was used as a diuretic to stimulate kidney function, but it was also used to treat inflamed tonsils or lymph nodes and other oral issues, as well as menstrual bleeding.

Modern day laboratory research has indicated that hummingbird blossom is great for treating lymphatic blockages and hypertension.

3.Wild Mint

Mint remains popular today as a tasty herbal tea that’s also packed with antioxidants. The Cherokee used mint to assist with digestion, and also ground the leaves up to create ointments or for use in cold compresses. Mint was also added to baths to help relieve itchy skin.

4. Blackberry

These berries are loaded with antioxidants and nutrients that help to support good health. In addition to the delicious berries, a tea can also be made from the root of the plant, which is said to help decrease swelling in the joints and bodily tissues. Chewing on the leaves of the blackberry plant is also said to help relieve bleeding gums.

5. Cattail

Cattails have been regarded as a great preventive medicine and, barring the seed heads and mature leaves, is digested fairly easily. Boiled and mashed cattails were often used to create a paste to treat burns and other sores. Seed down, or the fluff from the seed blooms, was also used to help prevent skin irritations for infants.

6. Sumac

Sumac is touted as having many different uses. The bark, for example, can be made into a mild decoction to help soothe diarrhea. Tea made from sumac leaves is also said to help reduce fevers. There are many types of sumac, so one must be careful not to choose poison sumac.

7. Wild Rose

Tea made from wild rose hips was traditionally used to stimulate kidney function and bladder function. A rose petal infusion can also be used to help relieve sore throats; the petals can also be used to make a tasty jam. The roots of the wild rose plant can also be made into a mild decoction for diarrhea.

8. Mullein

According to The Cherokee, this herb can be used to help treat asthma and clear away chest congestion. Inhaling smoke from the burning leaves and roots is said to actually help open your airways and calm your lungs. Decoctions made from mullein can be used for foot soaks to relieve pain and inflammation. Flowers from the mullein plant were also used to make a tea with a mild sedative effect.

9. Yarrow

The crushed-up leaves of this well-known plant were traditionally used to encourage blood clotting. The crushed leaves were applied topically to wounds to help stop the bleeding. Yarrow juice, mixed with fresh water, was also said to help stop intestinal bleeding.

Tea made from yarrow leaves is said to boost digestion and assist with kidney and gallbladder issues.

The “21st century cures act” just created the ministry of cancer /curesnews/2016-12-15-the-21st-century-cures-act-just-created-the-ministry-of-cancer.html /curesnews/2016-12-15-the-21st-century-cures-act-just-created-the-ministry-of-cancer.html#respond Wed, 30 Nov -0001 00:00:00 +0000 http://162.244.66.231/curesnews/2016-12-15-the-21st-century-cures-act-just-created-the-ministry-of-cancer.html It appears the U.S. government is officially declaring war on cancer by launching a major bureaucratic initiative aimed at sending cancer research to the moon.

In a moment of suspiciously bi-partisan cooperation, both sides of the political aisle of the 114th United States Congress came together to pass House Resolution (H.R.) 34, the 21st Century Cures Act, which pledges a ton of taxpayer money to a broad range of disease and public health research programs, drug maker incentives, deregulation, and more. [1]

(Article by Dylan Charles, republished from WakingTimes.com)

“The 21st Century Cures Act has been two years in the making and it was one of the most heavily lobbied pieces of legislation in recent history. It pays for cancer research, pays to fight the epidemic of opioid abuse, funds mental health treatment, helps the Food and Drug Administration to speed up drug approvals and pushes better use of technology in medicine.” [2]

The New York Times calls this bill a ‘Sweeping Health Measure,’ as it is the most significant piece of health related legislation since Obamacare. The L.A. Times calls it, ‘a huge handout to the drug industry disguised as a pro-research bounty.‘ NBC News calls it, ‘one of the most heavily lobbied pieces of legislation in recent history,’ and PBS has declared it a big win for drug companies, medical device manufacturers, and the National Institutes of Health. [3, 4, 5]

Others describe it as “a holiday win for much of the health sector.”

Some are also pointing out the fact that the 21st Century Cures actually permits medical testing of experimental drugs on individuals, fast tracks the approval of drugs that may be harmful, and creates a program of surveillance and mandatory mental health screening under the auspices of public safety. [6, 7]

But no news source is reporting this as a win for the average American, and rightfully so, because this bill, like all government legislation, takes taxpayer money and gives it away to industries and government agencies while creating more rules and regulations for ordinary people.

“This gift — which 1,300 lobbyists, mostly from pharmaceutical companies, helped sell — comes at the expense of patient safety by undermining requirements for ensuring safe and effective medications and medical devices.”

All this aside, H.R. 34 may most notably be cited as the bill that officially begins the government’s war on cancer, as it launches Vice President Joe Biden’s Cancer Moonshot initiative. The Moonshot is much more than an Orwellian name, it is an elaborate and well-marketed global program which creates, in effect, a publicly subsidized cancer industrial complex, investing billions of dollars in the future of cancer treatment.

What exactly is the Moonshot?

It is a government ‘task force’ which will include a number of agencies and representatives of the private sector, operating with the following aims:

  • Accelerate our understanding of cancer and its prevention, early detection, treatment, and cure
  • Improve patient access and care
  • Support greater access to new research, data, and computational capabilities
  • Encourage development of cancer treatments
  • Identify and address any unnecessary regulatory barriers and consider ways to expedite administrative reforms
  • Ensure optimal investment of federal resources
  • Identify opportunities to develop public–private partnerships and increase coordination of the federal government’s efforts with the private sector, as appropriate

According to the website CancerMoonshot2020, the plan is to turn cancer into a manageable chronic condition, like diabetes, which creates lifelong, dedicated customers of the healthcare industry.

“Ultimately, the aim of the “moonshot” is to win the war on cancer — to get to a point in the very near future when we are managing cancer the same way we might manage any chronic disease, such as diabetes or asthma. When we can finally stop the toxic therapies, such as chemotherapy and radiation that decimate the immune system, and instead, rally the full power of the immune system and the body’s natural killer cells to fight off the cancer the way they were designed to do, the patient is not only surviving the diagnosis, but living – even thriving – with cancer.”

Chemotherapy and radiation are dangerous, but, with this plan, government invests nothing in research and development of natural cures and treatments, nor gives any mention of ending the FDA’s practice of driving independent researchers and forward thinking doctors out of the country and out of business.

It also does not acknowledge the fact that prescription drugs and a for profit medical system are killing us.

In short, the moonshot will give a ton of taxpayer money to private companies to develop new, highly expensive treatment products and procedures while continuing to ignore natural alternatives and the root causes of cancer.

“In pursuit of this mission, President Obama established the Cancer Moonshot Task Force charged with leveraging federal investments, targeted incentives, private sector efforts, patient engagement initiatives, and more, to support cancer research and enable progress in prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. Never before have so many government agencies come together—committing their leadership and uniting their focus—to tackle the challenges along the spectrum of cancer research and care to improve outcomes for patients.”

A new, broad-scoped government cancer program – the Ministry of Cancer. MiniCan.

Newspeak for New Times

When the government declares war on something, that something is guaranteed to grow, increase and exacerbate. The war on drugs means more drugs. The war on terror means more terrorists. The war on poverty produces higher poverty rates.

In the contemporary vernacular, moonshot means to send something to the moon, or have it take off, explode in reach and scope and proportion. In this case, cancer will no doubt be shooting to the moon in the greatest explosion cancer has ever seen.
